1.1 Speak with stress and pause
Learning English is not learning words and sentences. It is necessary to learn how to avoid the interference of mother language in order to improve the utterance near the native speakers. The role of mother tongue influences in a language acquisition for rhythm, stress and intonation when they adapt the same process of acquisition. So, it is necessary to learn stress, rhythm and intonation because they are parts of pronunciation. All words have a word-stress. This means that at least one of the syllables is longer and louder than the other syllables.
In the following examples, stressed syllables are in capital letter

PAUSE
When listening, the listener can't see the punctuation, so you have to communicate verbally. We do this with pauses. Pauses allow you to punctuate your spoken words, giving your listeners clues as to when one phrase, one sentence, or one paragraph ends, and the next begins.
For example; I can say ‘Let’s eat Grandpa.’ or ‘Let’s eat, Grandpa.‘and the English rhythm pause in the second sentence (pause where the comma is), gives it a totally different meaning. In the first one, they are going to eat their Grandpa, and in the second, they are telling Grandpa that it’s time to eat their food! You can also use the pause to help you speak clearly in English to slow your speech down.
Use the ‘Pause’ Correctly -PRACTISE the following.
i) Cover the cat with a blanket, and close the cupboard.
ii) After the festival, the conversation was very lively.

Value of time
As it is rightly said, “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.” For every one, time is very precious. Time can neither be bought nor sold. It can also hamper our health if we don't perform our timely routine like eating, sleeping and exercising timely. One should be punctual and act sincerely with time. In modern life, people run after money and forget to give time to their family. These quarantine days at home have given us time to learn and earn love. Thank you.
